Directory Tree Structure
The TAMU Enterprise Directory supports the following major branches beneath the top-level Directory root entry "dc=tamu,dc=edu":
People
ou=people,dc=tamu,dc=edu
The 'people' branch contains all entries representing individual users affiliated with Texas A&M University.
The ldap entry for an individual is composed of standard LDAP objectclasses and of custom objectclasses specific to Texas A&M University.
Every entry in the 'people' branch is assigned the following object classes:
- top
- person
- organizationalPerson
- inetOrgPerson
- inetLocalMailRecipient
- tamuPerson
- eduPerson
- tamuEduPerson
Conditional object classes that may be assigned to an entry in the 'people' branch are:
- tamuStudent The individual is present in the SIMS/EIS datafeed.
- tamuEmployee The individual is present in the BPP datafeed.
- tamuOtherFeed The individual is associated with HSC, HSCSTU, AMFD, RSFD, AFS, 12MAN, QATAR, USDA, ROTC.
- tamuManualAddition The individual is not associated with any of the major systems of record and was manually added to the directory.
- tamuEduNeoUser The individual meets the criteria to be provisioned with @neo.tamu.edu email aliases.
- tamuEduZimbraUser The individual has been provisioned with a TAMU Email (Neo) account.
- eduCourse The individual is an enrolled student, instructor of record, or teaching assistant in a current TAMU course offering.
