TAMU Directory Population Groups
The directory supports system-wide to department-level applications. Consequently, the Directory contains information for more than just Texas A&M University employees, students, and affiliates. All individuals associated with twelve of the A&M System member institutions are present in the TAMU Directory and employees of the other eight member institutions have entries as well.
Students:
Students from Texas A&M University and Texas A&M Health Science Center are present in the TAMU Directory.
Texas A&M University students are added to the Directory the night after their application is processed by the Office of the Registrar. This gives them access to MyRecord and related sites necessary to monitor the status of their application, register for classes, etc.
Texas A&M Health Science Center students are added to the Directory after they enroll for courses.
Faculty:
Faculty affiliated with the Dean of Faculties and Office of Graduate Studies.
Employees:
Employees for the entire Texas A&M University System are housed in the Directory. This includes active employees, retired employees, and personnel on leave of absence. A sparse Directory entry is created for employees the day after Human Resources begins to process their paperwork. Entry information is filled in once they are included in the Budget/Payroll/Personnel (BPP) datafeed sent nightly.
Affiliates:
Individuals who are associated with a System of Record other than the above. This includes:
- Texas A&M Health Science Center (HSC): HSC personnel not employed by TAMUS
- Texas A&M University-Qatar campus (QATAR): TAMU-QT personnel not employed by TAMUS

- Research Foundation (RSFD): employees
